Summary:
Direct supervisor for the maintenance team.
Assist the director in overseeing maintenance and repairs of electrical, plumbing, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), carpentry, painting, and other building systems.
Duties/
Responsibilities:
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the maintenance team Delegate and distribute tasks and work orders throughout the staff.
Evaluate systems or facilities to determine maintenance or repairs that need to be performed.
Assess building systems to plan work assignments and project schedules.
Develop maintenance procedures and schedules.
Ensure maintenance, repair work, and cleaning are completed correctly and in a timely manner.
Assist with departmental budget estimates and costs of specific repair projects and stock inventory Perform other related duties as assigned.
On Call and after-hours responsibilities in time of need, responding in a timely manner Communicating updates on work orders and projects with the director.
Supervisory
Responsibilities:
Hire and assist in the training of staff.
Organize and oversee the schedules and work of staff.
Conduct performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
Handle discipline of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.
Operate and maintain the School Dude program and work order system.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Knowledge of building systems such as plumbing, electrical, and HVAC.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to identify issues and determine repairs that are needed.
Ability to plan maintenance schedules for building systems.
Ability to plan and schedule routine custodial duties.
Excellent management and supervisory skills.
Proficient computer skills Job Type:
